“I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord.” Psalms 101:1-8
Q: What kind of heart is God looking for?
1- A HEART THAT WAS TOUCHED BY GOD.
I am not perfect. No one is perfect. There is none righteous no not one. When we stand before God we will be made into perfection. That is when we will stand with a perfect heart. A perfect heart is found in doing the right thing. Wake up and start each day with the prayer that God would help you to do the right thing. We may not always do or say the right thing, but we are a work in progress. God is not through working on you, just keep your heart towards him. Don’t turn, but stay focused on the eternal calling of a loving God. Doing the right thing is not what makes your heart perfect, its God. Sometimes you can do the right thing without a perfect heart. Look at what the Bible says about Amaziah, “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.” 2 Chronicles 25:2 KJV
God is still touching the hearts of people today.
A- When you have been touched by God you will be changed.
B- When God saves you from sin it will change your life.
C- When God touches your heart then your lifestyle will be changed. You will hunger for the things of God, you will desire to be in his presence, and you will want to serve him. Jacob was never the same after wrestling with the Lord. His heart was touched.
2- A FEARLESS HEART.
NO FEAR. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalms 23:4 KJV
In the days of war a Japanese police man made the people in a small village swear that they would not become Christians.”If you do I will throw you in the river and you will drown.” He said, some said I have to give up. Then in the middle of the Christians a small boy said “this is only the body, we don’t have to fear if we die we go to heaven.” A vote was a taken; they decided to stand for Jesus. Shortly afterwards the policeman said tomorrow you will die. The policeman was fishing in the river and hit a rock, he broke his leg and he was drown.
3- A DEVOTED HEART.
Too many people never make up their mind to follow Jesus.
Have you made that decision to follow Jesus?
Who or what are you devoted to?
What consumes your time?
A- For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
B- If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1-2
4- A TENDER HEART.
We must possess ahead to of compassion. God put a desire to reach the lost. Our world is sick with sin. It needs the healing that Jesus brings. Be kind one to another. Reach out to people with compassion. Do you love people? Are you reaching people with compassion. Jesus had compassion, even on those that were against God.“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” Matthew 23:37
Life Story ...
Abraham Lincoln was known for his compassion. The story is told that two women, relatives of General Lou Wallace, once came to the White House when Lincoln was president. They inquired about Wallace, who had been in a hard-fought battle, and wanted to know whether he had survived. After learning that their loved one had made it, they spoke rather freely of their joy. In the battle there had been a casualty named Wallace but they were thankful it had not been “our Wallace.” Calmly and soberly, Lincoln responded, “Yes, but it was somebody’s Wallace, wasn’t it?”
Are you able to hear the voice of God? Does he speak into your heart? When you read the Bible, God is speaking to you. God is compassionate and he loves you he sent his son for you so that you might have eternal life. Are you trusting God for salvation?
5- A REDEEMED HEART.
Greater is he that is in you then he that is in the world. You don't have to be perfect to have a perfect heart, you just need the blood that Jesus shed. When God forgives, you are cleansed. We can have a perfect heart because of His perfection.

ENTER 2017 WITH PURPOSE.
Happy new year 2017.
It is so good to be in the house of the Lord, the spirit feels like a refreshing, are you ready for a year of miracles. The Lord has great things, if we all get together and be prepared for a great year in the Lord. Opening by Sister Gerri Cushman.
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Daniel 1:8 KJV
Do you know what you will face this new year?
Don't worry and spend time thinking about what COULD happen, instead take time and think about how our God will be there to help us no matter what.
Q: Are you celebrating the new year or that you survived the last year?
Q: What could you do to be more successful in 2017?
Q: What does this coming year mean to you?
5 WAYS TO ENTER 2017 WITH PURPOSE.
A- Purpose not to live defiled.
Daniel purposes to NOT defile himself.
Have you purposes in your heart to live right?
Don't trust everything to chance or luck.
Serve God and serve him alone to the best of your ability.
Live your life in a way that it is pleasing to the Lord. If you don't read and hear the Bible it is no wonder you do tongs that defile your life. Some people are living ungodly and don't even know it. Follow the Bible, it's what God expects of you.
B- Purpose in your heart to find the joy in the Lord.
“And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.” John 16:22 KJV
SHOW JOY: Have so much joy that there is no room for sorrow. Don't let people take your joy. Don't go around complaining and talking garbage. I don't want to hear it. Let's talk about how good God is, not how much the devil is doing.
BE GOOD TO OTHERS: Your happiness should not be in direct proportion to how much misery you cause to others. Don't get pleasure from tearing down others. Don't be a troll. The Joy that we get when we ask Jesus into our heart out shines the misery of this world.
Most people don't have a relationship with Jesus no wonder they are miserable. Satan did not give you joy, so don't let him take it from you.
C- Purpose to stay full of the Lord.
When things go wrong in your life learn to TRUST GOD.
When your truck won't move, because your transmission has no fluid in it, then fill it up. If you don’t you will be stuck and not go anywhere. It is a dangerous thing when the dip stick of your spirit is not showing anything. You need to keep full. Who wants to run out of gas? The moving of the spirit of God will keep your life full and you will go forward with God.
1- Stay in church. If you stay out of church and are not refreshed on a regular basis it is no wonder your weak.
2- Read the Bible. It’s not just for Sunday Mornings.
3- Pray. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
D- Purpose to stay strong in the Lord.
Stay in church and strive to do the will of God. They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. Are you waiting on the Lord? If God sees fit to live another year it is 365 more days to live for him. Spend those days serving God. God will give you the strength to serve him EVERY DAY. The Lord will help you. Live right in this world and God will give you the strength you need to live each day.
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever you go. Joshua 1:9
E- Purpose to take a stand against the devil.
Don't let him walk all over you. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.
Stand up for what's right. Stop joining the crowd and celebrating sin. As a Christian we should never promote what the Bible calls sin. Jesus came to save sinners, so they could be free to live for him. Celebrate what Jesus did, not what the devil is doing.
Stand against communism, it will never change. We need to preach the gospel regardless of what the government tries to say is right or wrong. The world does not want the Bible, they don’t want prayer in schools, or even the 10 commandments on a courthouse wall. Remember what Paul said: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
Our enemy is the devil and he wants Christians to be silent. It is not time to cower, but to stand for what the Bible says is right.
Stand up and let people know what side you are on.
TAKE A STAND against alcohol, how can you stand for something that has destroyed so many?
TAKE A STAND against the Hollywood stars that turn their followers against God.
TAKE A STAND against teachers that teach that we were evolved rather than created.
TAKE A STAND against the abortion clinics where 1000s babies are killed every year.
TAKE A STAND against those that teach that man is the center of the universe and makes his own truth.
TAKE A STAND against the tobacco industry that is killing people. It's an addiction whose end is cancer.
TAKE A STAND against the homosexual lifestyle becoming accepted and celebrated as a normal lifestyle.
TAKE A STAND against universities that make a mockery of the Bible, and turn young people against Christianity.
TAKE A STAND against the devil.
CHRISTIANS it is time to take your old bony finger and stick it in the face of the devil and let him know that IN THE NAME OF JESUS, he has done enough.
THIS YEAR PURPOSE IN YOUR HEART TO LIVE FOR GOD.
