"For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”
1 John 5:4
Q: Are you living by faith?
Q: Do you want to be a winner?
Defeat is destructive. Who wants to be a loser?
God's children can live in victory, it is found in living for Jesus.
Q: Are you tired of living in defeat?
Five things to do to get and keep the victory:
1- Think victory.
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV
Put your mind and thoughts into victory and you will always win.
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13 KJV
2- Live victory.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 KJV
Stop mopping around like you are losing the fight.
You have Jesus on your side.
To live in victory you must get your eyes off your problems.
Peter got out of the boat, when he looked at the waves he begs to sink.
NEVER accept defeat, NEVER!
3- Confess victory.
“O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.” Psalms 98:1 KJV
King David learned to live in praise.
People say how can I praise God when this life keeps sending troubles my way?
Praise your way through the situation. God will help you through all your battles and bumps.
4- Trust victory.
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” Psalms 42:5 KJV
Learning to live in praise, it is essential to victory.
Praise puts our faith into action.
There is a champion, he is our refuge, our strong tower.
5- Receive victory.
God has victory for you, all you need to do is believe that it is there.
Watch it happen your life.
The same God that took care of you this long, is the same God that is taking care of you now.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 KJV
When the King of kings walks in to your life, it WILL change.
“In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.” John 5:3-9
Time to pray that God would help you to look to him instead of the problems of this life.
It's time to do something, if you don't then every thing will stay the same.
THE ROAD TO RECOVERY
Lewis Cushman. St Cloud Church of God.

Luke 15:11-32 The prodigal son.
“For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.” Luke 15:24
What road are you on?
Q: What is the tragedy to backsliding.
Q What are the wages of ? A: Death
There is a way that seems right to man, but the end is destruction.
There are many people who are away from God.
They served once, but do so no more.
When we backslide on God, we fall with a thud of despair.
Samson laid his head in the lap of the enemy, and he was reduced to grinding meal.
His eyes were put out. He lost his strength.
-It is a dangerous thing when you turn your back on God.
-The devil never does anything good to you.
BUT... Greater is he that's in you then he that's in the world.
THREE THINGS THE ROAD IS PAVED WITH:
1- The road to recovery is paved with the word repentance.
Q: What can wash away your sins?
The bible only mentions two places to spend eternity, Heaven or Hell.
Q: Which one do you want to go to? Are you ready for the coming of Jesus?
Jesus said I don't condemn you ... but he also preached repentance.
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
REPENT MEANS: To turn away from sin, not keep doing it.
You have not repented till you feel about you sin the way God does.
2- The road to recovery was paved with reliance.
It takes God to forgive us and turn us around so that we might walk a new life.
God can save you, help you, strengthen you, and bring you through.
He has done it before and he will do it again.
God is ready to do it one more time.
DO: Ask God to do it one more time.
Some folks want to hurt the reputation of Jesus, and openly commit sin.
Then they want to come back to church and act like they are not doing anything wrong.
Repent, and do your first works over. Because the soul that sins will die.
But, there is a road to recovery.
3- The road to recovery is paved with realization.
The prodigal son realized he was living with the pigs. He came to himself.
Q: Are you living with the pigs and eating their food?
People are good at pointing out others faults, while you have faults of your own.
Realize you need to pray for reconciliation of fallen brothers.
Realize that you are the one who needs to turn back to God.
Realize where you are.
Q: What road are you on today?
Q: Do you know who Jesus is?
Q: Are you right with him?
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10
