THERE IS STILL POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS.
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5:17-18 KJV
What does the blood of Jesus mean to humanity?
His one act would do what no other could do, it created a new covenant.
BY THE BLOOD WE EXPERIENCE:
The blood of Jesus ha stashed away you sins, you are transformed. It has freed us from the curse of sin. We Re redeemed by the blood. Jesus gave his life so that we might have life.
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15
“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”. 1 Peter 1:18-19
What happens when the blood of Jesus is applied to our life?
We become Pure.
We become Holy.
We become Without blemish.
Jesus said "It is finished."
How can you listen to the gospel, be convicted of sin, walk down to an altar and receive forgiveness from God? It is hard to understand this salvation. It is hard to understand how we can leave the altar as a brand new person. It is by his blood that he shed.
“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:19-22
When the blood has to be applied to our lives it can make the biggest sinner to be transformed into a servant of God. We stand as an individual before God. Saul was a mean guy in the New Testament. He was on the road to Damascus and there was a light. He had an encounter with Jesus Christ. If God changed Saul to Paul, he can change you. God is in the life changing business.
Q: What were you like before Jesus came into your life?
Q: What kind of person are you now?
Think about the thief that hung on the cross next to Jesus, he had an encounter with Jesus and was transformed to be in paradise that very day.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
PRAY: Lord, help me to be the man or woman you want me to be.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Isaiah 1:18 KJV
Without the blood Jesus shed we would be bound for a fearful 2nd death.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Revelation 21:8 KJV
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 KJV
That's the God we serve.
Because of Jesus ' we now have royal blood flowing through our veins.
When a virus attacks out body, our blood attacks it with white blood cells.
When the enemy of God rises up against us, God will raise up a standard against him.
There is some thing about the blood of Jesus.
When you get a cut, your blood will form a scab to protect you.
When the devil comes against you and attacks you, we need to remember we have authority to pray that God would rise up and protect us. God be a hedge around my family.
By the power of the blood of Christ, we experience freedom.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 KJV
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
Colossians 1:13-14 KJV
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:11 KJV
His blood is still powerful today.
His blood is still saving sinners.
His blood is still sufficient.
This microphone may go dead and need a new batteries, but the blood of Jesus will NEVER lose its power.
A terrible accident happened to a family.
Mike one of the small boys was injured and needed a blood transfer. Their dad explained to Danny, Mike’s older brother, what he could do to save little Mikes life. You will have to give some of your blood so that he can save. He did not fully understand. Danny was taken to the operating room and the blood began to flow to his brother. Afterwards Danny asked " Daddy when am I going to die" Danny misunderstood what a transfusion was. Even though he thought he would die, he was still willing to do whatever it took to save his little brother.
WHAT WOULD YOU BE LIKE TODAY IF JESUS HAD NOT DIED FOR YOU?
